Im thinking of taking the plunge (again),but dont fancy using it over the Winter up here as I live rurally and the roads dont get much attention or gritting.
Do Chims react badly to 4-5 months lack of tlc ?...what should I look out for/prepare for ?

Personally i would keep the car mobile and ready for action..... The worst thing about using our Chym through winter are the salted roads.. If its a milder day get out and drive without the worry of corrosion. aves getting hosepipe out after every run and rinsing salty crud off everything !!

I'd agree.. I run my Chim all year round so obviously you really want to hose down the underneath fairly frequently and keep an eye on the chassis.
On the flip side, my car runs a whole lot better if i use it regularly.

There have been a couple of occasiouns when its been in the garage for a couple of weeks when i've been away etc and the car has ran noticably rougher once out of the garage than when its used every day.

My personal opinion is, unless the car is a huge financial asset like a vintage Aston DB5 etc i'd rather put the miles on and keep the car running sweet.
