TVR Bosses cancelled yesterday's meeting last minute. Mr O rang the union on Tuesday and told him it was cancelled (no reason given). Looks like they are delaying things as the meeting was supposed to give some light as to what was going to happen to TVR.
It says something about it on Blackpool today site - lets hope its good news!

Meeting called off by TVR bosses
A CRUNCH meeting between union leaders and TVR bosses was cancelled at the 11th hour.
TVR managing director David Oxley called union organiser Andy Robertson to cancel the meeting which was due to take place yesterday. The two sides were due to meet at the Bispham factory to discuss the latest issues surrounding a possible sell-off of the famous sports car brand. They are now due to meet at the Bristol Avenue site on Monday at 8.30am. TVR is more than half-way through a 90-day redundancy consultation after Russian owner Nikolai Smolenski announced he is "outsourcing" production of the luxury car.
At the start of this month, more than 150 staff were laid off, leaving around 100 workers to carry on with orders.
Tony Hodson, shop steward and union convenor at TVR, said: "Our union representative received a call from David Oxley at 10pm on Tuesday night saying the scheduled meeting was being cancelled. We were given no reason why.
"A further meeting has been pencilled in for 8.30am Monday morning."
Last weekend, more than 400 TVRs converged on London in a mass rally to support the sports car.

This is a very different proposition to a relocation, if NS sells off the brand, there may be hope for TVR to stay in blackpool. Lets hope so!
Paul
there's always hope, the events last weekend might just give someone some bigger balls to get involved in TVR and keep it here.
I seem to recall there was a reason we put te Union Jack on the truck and our cars for Lemans
Lets hope enthusiasm like this doesn't go away from the marque
A few more examples of the hardcore at London Thunder
These two last pictures just sum up the day for me and the Griffith and flags was just spot on

Hi James
I would have said hello if I'd have spotted you! Saw a car with your website on, but not you.
Lets hope the powers that be are listening to us all - I think I may have run out of things to cross!

Hi Kirsty
Sorry we missed you - there were soo many people it was amazing -
Nearly came all stickered up but was trying to keep a low profile just in case I got a massive dose of Plutoium in my chips at the Ace Cafe.
We need to focus on the marque and the fact that the cars are still great, in fact I cannot recall them being such good value - truely. Sounds per pounds its never been a better time.
I think once some further news is out - people realise that the parts are still around, warranties are still running the residuals will fire up in the next few weeks - in fact I am pretty sure that will happen.
Saying that we still need to know what is going on with new TVR's, how the workforce will be looked after and whos going to make them and where -
I just think a bit of postive TVR PR now would work a treat.

Yes there maybe a chink of light at the end of the long dark tunnel.
Let's hope that TVR emerges from it into a bright and prosperous 07 but make it here in the UK - that is where the customers are don't forget!!
What customers, this is why tvr is in the mess it is in ( NOBODY WAS BUYING) if 50% stopped moaning and put there money where there mouth is tvr would be still going. (IMHO of course)Let's hope that TVR emerges from it into a bright and prosperous 07 but make it here in the UK - that is where the customers are don't forget!!
Great pics, guys - but can we try and keep at least one thread on subject?
There are loads (and loads) of posts about the London Thunder, this is supposed to be about the latest developments in the future of TVR's workforce (and maybe even a sell-out? interesting news indeed... or was it just a Blackpool journo assuming too much? Anyone know the facts here?)

I know that - just getting a bit cheesed with every post being taken over with LT pics, when we should be doing what we all do best: bitching, moaning and either telling how we could run the firm ourselves or spreading false rumours of TVR's imminent future based on 'dead reliable inside information'.
Hey, it's Friday !
