Thick Question
Discussion
I appologise for my lack of knowlage, but I have only just got interested in TVR due to seeing the LT parade on Piccadilly (sorry about that, I didnt realise how great they are
).
1)What is the 'Red Rose' option, do they still do it? I have done a forum serch but I wanted to be abserlutly sure.
2) What is currently the quickest model? I found out about the Typhone, is that just a version of a Tuscun that isnt available any more or is it its own completely different model?
3) Have TVR moved completly away from V8's?
Thanks very much.

Yeah!!!! Another TVR fan!
Red Rose = bigger brakes, different programme in the ECU, different cams, initially on the early Tuscans the Red Rose ones had bigger wheels & I'm sure sure I've missed some things out
Also if it was a Red Rose on a Cerbera you even got an octane button on your dashboard.
The Typhon started off as a T400. They only built a few and it is a model in its own right.
After the Cerbera V8 - TVR stopped using V8's
And the yellow ones are the quickest

Don't forget the T440....Very limited prod run isn't it Richard?
As for the fastest, It's NOT the cerb but the Speed 12

Wasn't there one on ebay last week??????????

It was but the ebay ad disappeared mysteriously, which is a shame because I'd already sorted out a cracking deal on my soul, kids, hubby and house

Yep, or at least it was last week with a starting bid of £99k
but well worth it for a unique one off never to be repeated piece of history. I even did an extra line on the lotto at the weekend, I can dream
Oh, and green ones are faster KirstM

I think you'll find that Moonraker Black is the fastest............Oh come on, red is never faster, the blue ones are obviously quicker, as famously proven on telly...
"the red car and the blue car had a race
all that red could do was stuff his face
he eats everything he sees
from trucks to prickly trees
but smart old blue he took the milky way
he's looking for a chocolate treat
fluffy and light
cos he knows it won't spoil his app-e-tite
mm mm MMMM!
oh no! the bridge has gone, poor old red just can't carry on
but smart old blue, he took the milky way"

Getting away from colour - Red rose was an option the factory produced which upped the power to approx 420 bhp from 360-380. Along with this it had bigger brakes - wheels?
Fastest of all the models produced was the Cerbera - 190mph claimed, but you don't just buy one for the performance - it's a love thing
Either way - any model has it's pros and cons - you just pick the one you like.
