John Heywood Leaves Racing Green
Discussion
It is with much regret that I have to inform you that I have now left Racing Green TVR. I went to set up Racing Green TVR in October 2002, and in that time I belive we had a lot of good times over the last four years. Now unfortunatly I have left my position. In this very difficult time, I would like to thank all the customers who have supported me over the years, and wish them all the best.
wondered what had ahppened to you john. called you several times over last few weeks and never got a straight answer from any one were you were or coming back. They managed to lose the sale of the new sagaris to me because they did not seem to know what they were doing and never returned a call. Was good dealing with you though. craig(black tusc with cream leather) now sagaris.

John, I have never been an actual customer but will always remember the hospitality and service beyond the call of duty that I have experienced on several occasions from yourself (and Martin!) at Racing Green.
I hope you are staying within the industry to keep us smiling and wish you all the very best.

Nice Bloke and I remember doing the early TVR Motorshow's with John - great bloke to know as he managed to get us both some free foot massages off some very attractive ladies on another stand for most of the week.
He also liked TVR's I believe
Hope he comes back into TVR when the dust has settled
Best wishes on whatever you are up to youth

John, You always made the Surrey mob really welcome. Thanks for all those bacon butties and endless cups of tea. If you ever feel like dropping in on us at our monthly meet then please do. The next one is tomorrow. December 28th, we'll be at The Woolpack, Elstead.
Best wishes as always,
Karen

Hi John
I've never actually been to Racing Green or met you but I last spoke to you in April 2005 for some reassurance before buying a beautiful Moonraker Black 4.5 Cerbera once owned by yourself. It was during that conversation that I decided to buy the car, as all you had to say were positive things about not only the car but it's then owner.
Hope all goes well for you in the future and you can find pastures greener.
Regards
Simon

I'm very saddened to see you go.
You were truely an asset to TVR and Racing Green, and to top it all... a really nice bloke.
The first time we met was at the Birmingham Motorshow lauch of the T2 Conv.... back in the Wheeler days. You did a fantastic job of helping me decide to buy a Tuscan and later (at MPH) upgrade my order to a Tuscan S... all without me really noticing... Top sales technique that!
Right from the early times of placing the order, through to delivery and now 18 months of ownership you have been nothing but helpful, and a joy to deal with, even when I am slightly miffed that my P&J is poorly.
You were also very kind to invite me to Silverstone on occasion and chear on Phil from the pits and meet the many wonderful people involved in the Team, not to mention your lovely family and friends.
Although I still have unending confidence in Martin and his team at RG, it wont be the same coming over to Ash and not sitting down to have a chat and paper cup full of slightly dubious tea like liquid.
I wish you all the very best for the future, you will be sorely missed.

John - wish you all the best in whatever you do. Others have already described you as a "really nice bloke" - I'm not sure I can do better than that but your enthusiasm for the TVR (and Mosler) brands was highly infectious. I was looking forward to one day surprising you and Racing Green with an order for my next TVR but I never quite got it together financially.
Sorry to hear you have left RG. Would just like to add my thanks to those already posted for all your help and good advice over the 2 years I have known you. You nurtured me skillfully from Nov 04 when I was first persuadaed by Dan to come and see you until I took delivery of my TuscanS (reflex green) in Apr 05. Day I took delivery - I felt like a school kid and was shaking with excitement! Still smile like a 5 year old every time I drive her. Best wishes for whatever you plan to do and hope to hear from you at some time in future.
Very sad news indeed - John was a great chap, who I remember app 2 yrs ago taking me out in a new Tuscan Mk 2 to show me what it could generally do. Upshot - puchase of a Mk 1 some 2 mths later and have used RG ever since for servicing and general advice. John also was ever friendly at Motor Shows, so whatever the new adventure, I wish him well. And to anyone else out there who has not as yet stopped by - pay a visit to Colin/Martin!
And I was under the impresion that you were having a very looooong holiday (that's what i was told anyway) good luck in what ever your upto. Guess I'm going to have to find another Coffee stop on my way back from London! Thanks for the Numerous cups of coffee even when I didn't have a TVR it was nice to wander round the show room dreaming......of the future
And well done for making Racing Green what it was (is anyone going to pick up your phone!?!?)
Shims and copper slick ; )

Top Bloke doesn't even cover it... (although to his face I'd rather tell him
what an arse he is!)... as a salesman he's superb, making you feel special
and more importantly, feel that you WANT to give him your business!
RG is a great dealer but will SORELY miss him..... God... I'm making it
sound like he's died... he'll be back.. bigger, better and as much of an
idiot as ever!
Ty (if I REALLY have to describe you what car I bought off you then you're off
my christmas card list!!)
