Mr Jeremy Blandford, The Chairman of the TVR CC very kindly introduced me to Mr Roger Billinghurst of TVR eng, who is a close adviser to Mr Smolenski.

I requested of him that he ask Mr Smolenski for permission for us to use the TVR logo outline, in-filled with the Union Jack, on shirts being made to commemorate London Thunder, and also whether he would like to make a donation towards the costs of the day.

I am sorry to report that both of our requests have been declined.

I would like to stress that at all times, Mr Billinghurst was helpful, sympathetic and polite, and he was the mesenger of the news.

I have not posted this thread to cause another outcry of personal attacks on NS, and do respectfully request that you resist, its not a huge surprise - i just wanted to let you know the position regarding TVR, their logo and London Thunder - just as i would have done had they agreed. At least we tried.

Just change the style of the TVR letters slightly. If you don't get the exact logo then surely it isn't the logo... ?

I think it's accepted that 5% change, but if it's still obvioulsy the TVR logo then you'll have a hard job defending your position.

I have finalised and submitted the artwork to the embroider.

I've decided sod it and used a very similar style to that posted originally but further enhancing the 5% rule. Artwork to be posted here shortly.
