With the sheer class of italian sports cars, it wont be long before there quality rubs off on the new tvr to create a car that far outreaches its predecessors. Anyone interested in TVR's should be extremely excited about the future prospects of TVR. Mr Smolenski is clearly a man who wants to take TVR to the next level and to remove the company from being dogged by financial troubles which have plagued the company since its formation. To create the ultimate TVR and sound financial company, it would be nieve and shortsighted to have to stay in blackpool when there is no real or advantageous reason for doing so. Smolenski and even the management are clearly making big decisions and i believe necessary decisions for the future success of TVR. The honest truth is that the TVR car is far more important to people than its current workforce. Only a deranged worker would have presumed his job safe and as such knew what is taking place now, would be a distinct possibility. They are easily expendable for the prospect of a succesful and great TVR company. All peoples interested in TVR will realize this when Smolenski decision is vindicated in the future leaving only a few bitter former employee's willing TVR to fail. A new era of TVR is upon us and to the would should rejoice

PMSL

That has to be one of the best posts I've read in ages.

Please can we have the old trolls back please - you know the ones I mean - the funny ones who aren't so obvious.

Oh dear I'm wiping a tear away.

As for your other comments regarding the workforce Jafacakes, If you had any decency or even common sense you would keep your thoughts to yourself,as you have your identity.

Dont think this one even warrants a reply..
But just a quick word. N.S himself stated not more than a few months ago that the workforce here in Blackpool is TVR..
TVR is Not a badge that can be carried in your hand luggage..

Oh and i agree with other replies. Making comments about the current factory workers right now is very low and may i suggest you make the same comments to the recently laid off workers faces..

Quality rubs off. I take it from that. You mean they be tone down. More like a hair dresser car. Well at least i got 2 British sports cars. A S and a Griff. Then again not many real men in this world. to handle a man car. Ok they might need a bit off tlc. But that’s way I love them. Oh and cars what come from Italy. well i would never spend over 100K for a car. And never buy a car from Italy. All dull looks and no meat.
but to be fair we all like diff things. and if Mr Smolenski is a business man. way not say he was moving in the first place. And saying one thing then another but no he said this that and the other. if you look in the sprint mag of this month. you see what the council was working with tvr to do. all Mr Smolenski has done. is drag TVR name tho the mud. I own a business and i start it up on my own. and built it up from nothing. I learnt from my mistakes. But one thing i know. is to have a good name. Because people come back on that. one good thing is for Mr Smolenski is to be a tea boy for TVR and work his way up the ladder. rather then asking daddy can i have this. Because he making a right mess.

Really does make you wonder - if this joke of a statement does come from the Politburo PR Agency and if the same standard of expertise has been applied to the management of the company over the last couple of years as has been exercised here is it any wonder that things have turned out as they have. I thought these days this kind of stuff only came out of North Korea where all the people are happy and smiling and thriving because the Great Leader says they are and if any of them want to say otherwise they have to be re-educated into realising how happy they are.

oh dear

Could it be? possibly ? maybe, that the reason those ex employees are bitter, is because they've been treated appallingly by management/tvr..

yes redundancies can happen in any business, but there are ethical/honest professional ways of going about it

Lots laid off, whilst in redundancy talks, not even sure if you can get away with that legally now...
If ns is going to take it to the next level, does that mean peole are actually going to be able to buy PARTS, from tvr to keep their cars on the road...

Very sad post.

I'll add to the list, I Will NEVER buy another TVR whilst under current ownership/management

B
