TVR article in 'InCheshire magazine'
Discussion
Just had a new glossy magazine,InCheshire, delivered it has an article entitled - End of the road for British-made TVRs?
It talks about the iconic marque, the workforce & the proposed move overseas.Shows a picture of a Tuscan headlined .. Another quintessentially British car may soon be leaving these shores to be made by foreigners.
The editor,Michael Grummett, says that the British motor industry is owned by foreigners,German,Chinese,American & Russian so it is perhaps not surprising when production moves abroad - this need not be so. The French & Italian governments protect their motor industries from foreign takeovers while we give them away (particularly in the case of MG Rover)He then goes on to ask why we can't take more pride in our engineering excellence,at this rate we will end up as an offshore financial centre which doesn't make anything any more.
Don't know if he is a TVR fan but he certainly seems to disagree with what is going on.It is described as an independent magazine really don't know but it may have political links as it is distributed within the Tatton constituency boundary but at least it gives us some more favourable publicity.

It sounds good lets hope the car mags have picked up on what happened on Friday, maybe someone could send them the photos and news coverage of Friday. I am not very good with computers or would do it myself.
Its about time Top Gear,Evo etc supported british car makers for a change Instead of their constant piss taking.
