0-60 Elise whooped my ass!!!

had a good day out in the cerb until i came across an 02 plate Elise.

he followed me for ages along the A52 aroud nottingham, so eventually i decided to gass it only to find he was all over me.

each time i went fr it he was there trying to get past me.

we stopped at some lights so i drooped the window to chat to him, it was then he told me it was turbo charged!

i tell you that thing was really quick

anyone come across one like it before?

I looked at an earlier elise some time ago and concluded it wouldn't be to hard to fit a turbocharger. The software side of things would be more difficult. I wonder if lotus did the conversion?

Back to the lotus thing my S2 elan was like S**t of a shovel once i had fitted a dump valve and a bleed valve almost doubling the factory boost setting so i can imagin that the Skate was quick

The cerb has a very cramped engine bay so I doubt you could use forced induction. Whichever engine you have, forced induction would be tricky and expensive. So, it's a case of seeing what you can gain normally aspirated and then seeing if it will get you close to blown elise power whatever that may be

You could have a chat with Joolz for proven bolt on conversion parts.

Yep get a fly off handbrake fitted,it must have been on.Anyway if you see the guy in the Lotus thats what you tell him.

Looking for excuses here would just add that cold tyres (in cold weather) can't help Cerb launches plus Elise has higher % weight at the back..

A mate of mine has an Audi turbo engined Elise and that's putting out over 300bhp, afraid to say that will leave most of us in it's dust!!
