Bonsoir, I was driving from Brugge to Calais in September and was a witness to a chase by the French police of two TVRs with GB plates. If the people in the TVRs are visitors to this site I have a memento of the occasion. A con-rod from a Police Citroen >>>. You were obviously not caught by the Citroen as the officer was seen kicking the vehicle (like John Cleese in Fawlty Towers) on the side of the road, steam coming from under the bonnet. The trail of oil was visible for a mile. The officers asked me to ask if all TVR owners visiting France would remove 2HT leads when in France to give the French Police a chance, this is to save shooting them.

Merci…

P.S.
I was in the Guards Red Porsche who pulled out in front of the Police. (naughty) 120 euro fine...

Very funny - sounds like a scene from Trafic - one of Jacques Tati's Monsieur Hulot films. If you've never seen this find a copy soon, bizarre but very funny, as are his other masterpieces

Incedently it's Jacques Tati's 100 birthday, big celebrations in France about it. I hear they are making one of his unmade scripts as an animation. Aslso strangely enough he is my mate's grandfather.

It was wed 20th September 10.45am on the A16 Just North of Calais, near the Leon Plage turn off,
I am not up on TVRs but one was metallic red may be a Sagaris the other was Blue/Greenish metallic they looked new cars, the sound was awesome. When a car is really moving it Zings when it passes the 2 TVRs were moving. (I have the con-rod I am having it mounted for the front room wall) It’s got to be someone on this site. As soon as I saw them I thought PH.ers.
