Why Buy a TVR?

Driving through Leeds last night in my Smart(!) and saw this orange thing behind me - TVR Cerbera with the latest 4 x headlights. I held back to let him get past (one way system in Leeds) and then followed him on my way out of town. Hmmm looked mean, chrome orange, black 18" spyder wheels and noisy. Best bit was the noise in fact, my fiance and I were drooling - 4.5 V8 was popping away on the over run as the driver burbled along. We'd been talking of replacing the S2000 with a new Elise....however my lady now wants another muscle car (lived in LA until recently and drove around in her tricked up 400bhp Chevy Nova) and I agree with her. You can't beat a TVR for on road presence, it really was awe inspiring too see and hear, and reminded me why people (me included) want these things

Take on for a drive and you'll be hooked! Nothing could prepare me for my first drive in a TVR. My Boxster was traded in within 2 weeks of my first test drive. Going on simple drives to the newsagent and the like become events with the engine noise and the feel of the car.

I drove mine yesterday - cerbie 4.5 - through Park lane, Kensington: as i had it at work. So had to take others out for a drive a round..spent most of the time gazing at the reflections of the car and getting the exhaust to pop. Its the most addictive thing going.

Drove a Chimera 4.0 - 2 years ago and decided on the S2000, since then had sort of gone off TVR's. To be honest it had alot to do with the negative stuff I read on here.....those two minutes following the Cerbera made me realise why I've always wanted a TVR tho' keep the faith!!!!

I used to have an Integra R..before the cerbera..test drove an S2000 and although two very different cars..the whole experience of the tvr is more visceral (not sure what that means - but sounds about right). Doesnt mean tho that i'd not want to experience other types of cars in the future.

Drive one, especially a fully sorted Cerbera 4.5 with sports exhaust, and you never ever want something else... Christof*german TVR maniac*

Try the 4.5 - like woolfie, when I am on the high street/s, I spend quite a lot of time looking at the reflection and making it snap, pop, crackle and bang.....especially with a sports exhaust and windows down. Extremely addictive. Re: S2000 and Cerbera - hows the handling compare - is the Cerbera as tail happy (tho' controllable) as the S' - Will be replacing it next Feb and the TVR is looking more and more promising

nice design.....a beast of a car where rhe driver is still the boss.....tvr must stay indipendant!!
