I have had an idea, which i hope you all agree with

Blackpool Gazette will run a paid advert from us TVR owners wishing the TVR staff the best for the future.

Cost: Mono full page £1028.16 + vat
Mono Half page £604.80 + vat

Contact: Alison 01253-361883

Payment: phone her with your credit card donation

Design/content: Could someone with design / creative skills take over the actual content of the advert.

What does everyone think, Petrolted is it something you could take over and organise properly to do them true credit.

Does she really want 200 calls for £5 ?

They understand what we are doing but obviously the higher the donation the better.

Wouldn't it be easier to setup a PayPal account or something?

Wouldn't it be nicer of them to donate some space for their own tribute?

Or will they pass on the proceeds to TVR staff?

Pistolar,

The best tribute would have been to have bought a new TVR since Mr Smolenski took over.

No doubt you will have a reason why you did not do so. Everyone does.

What good is a newspaper advert? Even the local paper wants to charge you! You will just add to their parent company's profit which for the 26 weeks to the end of June was over £100 million

If the factory actualy made anything better than what quite a few of us already owned, then I/we may well have bought new, or maybe we should 'downgrade' just because NS and his team hasn't sold enough cars or designed anything that is in fact better.

Don't you hate it when a good idea and good will ends up being negative rather than being honest and just saying something like :

I'd rather keep the £5 in my pocket and but a new TVR when they start building again.. or I'd rather give to the families directly !
