Hi guys

I am investigating about whitch TVR to get. I am fairly tall at 194 cm (6ft4inches) and would like to know if my height makes me too tall for either the Sagaris of the Tuscan.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance
Thomas

I couldn't find a proper position behind the Sags wheel, but then a comment of another tall guy says he had no problem fitting. Just try and find out I guess.

The Sag is a lovely throw and smack car, the Tusc is the better looker IMO.

I'm not certain about the Sagaris, but I'm 6 3 and easily fit into a Tuscan and a Tamora with plenty of room to spare, (Tamora is a similar layout to the Sagaris).

TVRs x-owner was a tall chap too and always made sure he could fit in the cars TVR made.

I'd visit a dealer and give it a go.

The Tuscans interior is very deceiving and bigger than you might expect. the only problem I found with the Tuscan is with me being 6'3", the top of the windscreen reduces my view, but a very comfortable nonetheless

TallMark is something like 6' 5" and fits in his Tuscan alright, although he has to remove one of the seat pads to do so. All depends on your proportions really, if you are a lanky as PW then you'll be fine

I'm 6'8"/205cm (I wonder if I'm the tallest PHer or TVR owner?scratchchin), of reasonably big build and I fit in my Tuscan fine with the lower seat cushion out. Very comfortable I am too.

When filling the Tiv up, people often see fit to make comments such as "how do you get in there?" to which I reply "I open the door and get in". Their look always amuses me!

I tried a Sagaris but there wasn't enough leg or head room for me.

I found with the Tuscan that my head touched the roll bar when everything else was adjusted as I like it, but I had little trouble with the Sag.

I think the moral of the story is you'll have to try both! driving

I own a Sagaris and tried a Tuscan S last week. Personally I found noticably more headroom in the Sagaris. I think the original Saggy seats are lower or have smaller seat cushions than the tuscan seats. Headroom is obviously less of an issue with the tuscan's roof where it should be - in the boot. But as several have already mentioned you can take out the seat cushions if you're really tall and will fit in either car with ease. Getting in and out is another matter! The Saggy is quite a bit lower than the tusc.

I'm 6'1" but tall in the back. No probs with Tuscan or Tamora (or my Chim!) but T350, Cerb and Saggy all hit me in the temple as I get in, and have to leave my head on my lap as I get out! The coupes have roll cages which lower the roof line (OK once in).

Did find something out on Sunday though - Tried YP's Saggy which has removable squabs for track day use, presumably so you can fit with skid lid on. Take the squab out and you not only can get in/out easier but you get more "bucket" seat!

I'm 6' 4" and have no problem with headroom in the Tuscan. As mentioned above, the top of the windscreen appears quite low and I found that off-putting to start with but you soon get used to it.

As mentioned by V8 Keiran, the seat squabs can be removed which gives a couple of extra inches headroom - although the seat base isn't as comfortable. Others have had special thinner seat squabs made to give the more visibility. I was told by my dealer to take the normal one out of the car and sit on it around the home for a few days to squash it down a bit - worked for me.

Not sure how any of this will apply to the new seats shown at the motor show though, as they don't have removable squabs.

Can't comment on Sagaris as YP hasn't let me drive hers yet laugh

I am 6'5" and I used to fit in my 2002 Tuscan S no probs.

I didn't need to take out the squab either. You kind of adjust and you feel the space
