Extreme...emergency stopping!!
Discussion
150 to 0 as some local wildlife was looking to cross the road (aham...I mean runway!)! I could not tell you the distance, but my neck hurt afterwards and it woke my other half up with a bit of a jolt!!!! I stopped 20feet from the said wildlife who seemed to acknoledge me and then crossed the road! Very strange, but she stopped very well indeed.

Yes I would say the brakes are good, when someone pulled out in front of me on a roundabout and I had to stop sharp. My neck hurt after too.

!!! any one done higher!?
!!! any one done higher!?Surely everyone should do this early in their ownership of a car so they can be sure of its limits.

Good point Woody, I was thinking the very same thing driving my Tusc yesterday so found a quiet spot and did some "testing".....

Did 120 to 0 in not a lot of time.
At Goodwood. Going through Fordwater.
ing Pheasant. Would not
ing decide which side of the track it was going to walk to. I was practically at a halt by the time the
ing thing flew off.
Being at a halt on a race circuit in a 100mph-plus zone. Not good. In fact: Very bad. My 0 to 100 time was damn fast as I tried to, ahem, "Get The
out of the WAY!"
Scaaaarryyy. But at least I didn't wreck the car...

70mph to 0 in a little over 70 feet, on a runway on a Ride/Drive day.
WTF are you using as brakes???
Standard Griffith brakes. I was as surpised as you are! I drove at 70mph (indicated) down the runway, and as I passed a cone, applied full brakes. After stopping, I got out, and paced back to the cone, which was a little over 13 paces. I've only got little legs, so work the distance out for yourself!
I repeated the execise with Alec, the instructor, on board, and went about 8-10 feet further, but I did lock up the drivers side front wheel, which Alec chastised me for, as I did not have full control of the vehicle when the wheel was locked!

60 - 0 with locked brakes sliding sideways within 5car lengths or something tiny! was scary!
