Today I became a parent on a school run yikes

however in my defence

my car was not the one going slowly
I have 100% occupancy
Ruaidhri is the coolest kid in the carpark

Although I was the loudest car there.
No shortage of 4*4 to toe me if I get stuck (overflow car park is on grass.......)

Yep, when my daughter was at school she regularly got dropped off in the Chimaera - most popular kid in school! laugh
How fickle kids eh?

That looks suspiciously like a Reflex Charcoal with a cream interior...and a green highlight set.

I applaud your taste Sir Though I used the carbon fibre leather as the highlight set against my cream.

When i was a kid, i used to love it when my dad picked me up in his TVR, it was loud and this was back in the 80's. I remember when he was using a Tasmin Coupe, my 2 brothers and i would all squeeze in, happy days. My favorite was the 390 SE, when it snowed he would do do-nuts in the car park to show off, everyone loved it.

Isobel 'Tasmin' May Walden also started school this week, unfortunetly the Chim isnt back from being tweeked yet, but when she's back I'll be dropping sprog off every morning in the chim hehe probably a little late due to taking the senic route and for more dramatic effect....

mmm I wonder what the milf in their 4x4's will make of it...evil

I did the 'first day back'pick up yesterday: When my son saw me pulling up in front of the school (and about 300 boys under 13) his eyes went skywards and I could see him saying something or other to his mates. As most things I do at the moment are completely uncool as far as this 13 year old is concerned I kept the revs low to be inconspicuous: He jumped in and as we pulled away he said "why didnt you rev up the engine like you usually do?" It looks like what he said to his mates was something along the lines of "listen to this" Any way I made up for it with a couple of hearty sports exhaust blips and received a round of applause from about 25 spotty 13 year olds: He beamed!!!

Petrol head in the making I think!

Sometimes, I have to use the Cerbera to take our daughter (nearly 3) to nursery, just to get her out of the house. If she is playing up, a simple "do you want to go in the Red Car" and it's coat on and out of the door...She loves it!

Great thread, gives me the chance to post my favourite "your car is toooo loud daddy" pic. hehe

To be fair both my children but especially my daughter love the Cerb despite it being b@stard loud, we often get tantrums on the driveway when I say we can't take it.

I have to pull in to the middle of the lower play ground to collect my son from school in the griff whereas Mrs larco is told to wait round the corner when she collects him in the Yaris.
I wonder why

Evening `Cloth. Glad your littlies weren`t emotionally scarred by your insistence on taking them on dawn raids - I understand the Social Services were investigting claims of false imprisonment and aural torture... I take it the barf smell has faded! hehe Fantastic photo!
My lad, and, I must add, the pretty nursery staff, enjoy the blue car coming to collect him! 35 years separate us but we both say `wooo!` when we floor it!

I used to drop two of my daughters to high school in the Cerb. Quite comical as they unfolded themselves to get out. One being 5'10" and the other 6'3" at the time...

Done this many a time, and all the older kids love it.

Looking forward to turning up at school in the Pantwetter some day soon.

A friend of mine uses a great analogy: Praying Mantis getting out of a matchbox!
