TVR Tuscan in CCC
Discussion
Anyone read the article in CCC this month about the Tuscan. I rang the number for Thames Ractech but it was no longer in service! Was it correct? I have great admiration for the guy that built that car! I know what JCW is doing now, but who is James Croft, I thought Colin Blower ran JCW?
Jazz
I still think a Tuscan carbon fibre rear difuser grafted onto the rear underside of a Griff/Cerb/Chim would look great and help address the positive lift problems of the car at high speed. Steve has got a new diffuser in stock at Thames Valley Racetech are you up for it Apache? go on!!! There was a pole on Pst.Hds a few weeks ago asking wether TVR should officialy produce a roadgoing version of the Tuscan Challenge Racecar (their answer to lotus's 340R, Ariel's Atom, Caterhams R500) does anyone know the results?
Thanks. The highspeed stability is much better than before. I think this has something to do with the 3 chambers stabilizing the air flow on the backend. If you drive behind my car in rain, you will see the difference when you have a look at the spray coming from the car.
The conversion was done from a bodyshop here in Germany. We also planning to modify the frontend over the winter, e.g. fitting some front splitters like the SP12 racecar etc.
No straight pipes, it's a custom made exhauster made by a local specialist who is very famous for doing Porsche exhaust systems.
You are right, its not a standard 4.5 engine. The engine has got a special treatment from JR.
All in all, I'm sooooo happy with my baby. The best and fastest TVR I've ever owned!!!
