£354 + vat for two 15inch tyres...F...ing hell

Just been back through my history for my Griff and found an invoice from a certain TVR dealer from 2002( clue..I am a .... and I live in a hole ! )Two x 225/50ZR15 Bridgestone SO2 tyres £324 + £25 fitting + Vat .I've just had 2x 215/40/17 and 2 x 245/35 18 tyres ( toyo T1R's )fitted for £355 inc VAT.Someones taking the Pi$$ I think.Also comparing prices from services at 2 different indies from 4 months ago and 10 months ago and there are some quite big diferences charged for the same parts.It certainly pays to shop around!!!

An hour or two on the phone tracking the tyres down and then taking the car to the fitters, £75/hr.

When I have dealer services they understand before they start the job -- 'Just do the service and tell me what needs doing. You're not getting the work so don't even try.'
