Happy not owning a TVR

I don’t drive fast, have a pre war car as my toy, and would love an Austin Healey 3000, but now I appear to be having a mid life crisis and have re discovered TVR.’s I think the T350 and Sagaris are fantastic but feel ownership of a 400SE Wedge would be more realistic.
Last weekend I went to Tatton Park classic car show, and was there for the TVR club engine start up, not really my cup of tea, or so I thought. I found it extremely interesting, especially as the Impreza boys opposite had a go at the same thing just after the TVR’s.
Now at the risk of offending them, and as a fairly impartial observer in my opinion I think it showed up the cultural differences between the two makes. Each obviously have their rightful place but to me the TVR’s appeared to be individual, even when comparing two of the same model, and were basically raw power, hairy cheasted, politically incorrect beasts, whereas the Imprezas to me appeared very much alike, very sanitised and precise, very much alike, oh and quieter, so it looks like I’m a TVR man.
TVR owners also have another string to their bow, on occasions when I get down, I just have to visit the TVR forum on this site to be happy. Some of the posts are hilarious especially from those Wedge boys, so I thank you all for cheering me up.
Finally a picture is worth a thousand words so here is an example of what I mean from the weekend’s Tatton Park show, whoever thought of this is in my opinion pure genius, I know little things please little minds but I was laughing all the way home. Another reason as to why until I can afford that 400SE, until then I can still be happy not owning a TVR.

Why thank you dear chap. Thats my car. I always put the ducks in to give the kids (young and old) a giggle.
