Aluminium dial surrounds

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the black dial surrounds on an M reg Griff 500 for aluminium coloured ones. I have all other aly accesories but want ali coloured dial surrounds. I was under the impression they were different sizes so a straight swap would not be possible. Do they come off so I could spray them the desired colour? Try TMS at Melton Mowbray, i know a guy who had his changed to a chrome type on a 95M Griff recently, so they may do the ally as well
