Don't get me wrong, I don't want to replace my T350 with a porker mainly because they don't look special to me and lurking on the Porche PH board - man are they an unhappy lot!

But I do want a bit more jekyl and hyde in my Tiv, I want it to be more like the 'everyday super car' that a number of mfrs are gunning for right now.

I like the sound of the new Audi TTs magnetic dampers, but cannot find any aftermarket alternative.

Why so important? - the roads around Leeds are attrocious (like my spl?) so much I wince at the thought of leaving home, but still want a hassle free way of tighting the dampers/ride height for track days.

I have had a look at TEIN EDFC system, but it looks heavy and clumsy.

Anybody any ideas?

The T350's can be improved by just about all the aftermarket shocks IMHO.
The choice is fairly unlimited and expect to pay from £750 to £2500 fitted, starting at budget twintube shocks and going up to double adjustable monotubes.
There are a number of specialists who could steer you in the right direction, Joo at Trackcar Solutions and John Waggitt at SSCC TVR to name a couple not far from you.

Another idea of mine is to change the front tyres to 40 series to get a better ride and less pot hole damage - all IMHO.

Thanks for the contacts GAZMAN, just waiting on a reply.

I found another maker - Tanabe but got the following response from their US distriutor;

"Thank you for your interest in the new Tanabe performance suspension
systems!

Unfortunately, we only manufacture the Sustec Pro SEVEN suspension
(which uses the TEAS active controller) for a small group of Japanese
sports vehicles.

While the TVR 350 is definitely a vehicle that can benefit from this
type of suspension, it is not an application that we have considered due
to the vehicle's rarity in Japan and North American markets.

Since we are the manufacturer, we do have the capability of producing
this suspension for virtually any car, but to do such requires extensive
R&D, as well as a guaranteed number of units to be sold to justify the
R&D and engineering costs."

I guess there is not enought interest for this though which is a shame because these are active speed dampers, i.e. an accelerometer is used to adjust the damping strength in less that .01 sec
