Tuscan roof wont come off

SERIOUSLY....i tried to get the roof off today, the driver side lever wouldn't pull down, i pushed it a bit harder and the lever went on its way, but the rod didnt come out of the roof, so I cant get my roof off!!!somebody...HELP!!

cable broken. You should be able to use a screw driver to push the rod out the socket and your friendly main dealer with replace the cable for you. A good 3 hour labour from memory.
