Got any fond memories of your beast to share? Its summer, afterall. And school hols start tomorrow 
A mate of mine asked me to pick up his son (and two friends) from school in the cerb. I've been commissioned to arrive early, and will be parking right outside the school gates, and (will probably) consider it my duty to rev the monster up for the young snappers and their cooliogang entourage
before taking them to pizza hut for a noshup. The question is... Am I allowed to scare them, and is it permissable to fold a child into three before inserting him into the "behind the driver's seat?" 
I just :crysnivelsob:... wish someone took me for a hoon when I was their age!
On another note... Anyone else been getting excessive amounts of rubbernecking since the heat wave started?

ds nicking your sound system! I took my 18 year old nephew to play some snooker and go for a couple of beers afterwoods.
Picked him up in the Griff and had a blast to the snooker hall and then onwards to the pub and home.

Been to pick the kids up from school quite a few times in the warm weather in the cerb. Does their street cred wonders in school, all their mates come out pointing, then seeing my son and daughter inside and putting their thumbs up.
Stopped at traffic lights on Weds, a bloke walking past bent down and shouted through the window 'nice car love' then stood on the corner and waited for the lights to change and watch me go round the corner waving at me.

Many years ago, I came out of school, thinking back, it must have been 1972, summer. Anyway, I was walking to the bus stop, and there was this HOOOGE white 'Mercan car waiting outside the school, and one of the girls in the year below me got in.
It was being driven by a long-haired guy with John Lennon-type glasses on.
Three years later I found out who the long haired geezer was.

It all went very well We arrived early with the limos and one other sports car who also wanted a prime parking spot for pose value (convertible modena). Literally hundreds of people looked at the cerb, dozens commented or pointed, some taking photos as they walked by, and just a couple of kids pointed or commented about the fezza (I suspect they were sneering at it) 
Lots of screaming and shreiking from schoolgirls when I statred her up And revving it up I almost managed to knock two of the boys off their feet whilst they were posing at the rear for photos.
We pulled out and left in a mini convoy with the fezza much to the kids delight, and duely laid down some rubber on our departure.
Popped and banged 4-up through town, and knocked back the gears for the kids on the bypass, leaving a sports bike lagging behind to howls of laughter all round. And then went for pizza, where I was crowned their new leader and king :blush: and conversation was pretty much limited to the car.
Im both happy and sad for them. All three lads are best friends, and although they had the time of their lives, it was their last day of junior school together. They are being split up and sent to separate senior schools when the summer draws to an end, and will probably drift appart over the years
On the upside, we do have 3 new TVR enthusiasts though, each of whom has vowed to one day buy one
