Reducing Noise level for track days

Hi Chaps,

Trying to reduce the noise of my car and I seem to remember some years ago that you could buy a device that plugged into the end of a TVR exhaust to reduce the noise for track days, then you could just un screw it for the drive home. Any idea on where I might find these or similar. It's not for a TVR actully, but it is a V8.

Hmmm, intersting. Certainlythe right idea, but I had something more in mind that just slipped into the tailpipe, rather than attaching onto the end.

I think you're describing tailpipe inserts. You can also get external cans that slip over the *outside* of the tailpipes. These can be combined to give you even more silencing. Various places sell the inserts and external cans, including Merlin, Jetex, Tower View, and ACT.
