Phew!! - insurance advice please...

Well, been to court and managed to escape with my license, so I'm now starting to think about another TVR.
Question is, how much is my accident going to affect getting insurance again, bearing in mind i now have a big claim and 8 point conviction against me?
If its going to be ridiculously difficult/expensive i fear i will just give up, so any helpful pointers appreciated.....

I got 5 points for careless driving when I was 18, for an accident - which I still believe was not my fault, but as a guide I was paying £1200 for a 1.8 Ford Focus, it should have been around £700. It does seem to add a lot on, of course it does depend on your age and the conviction code. My guess would be to double the premium.

Depending on the conviction I had 3 points and a hefty claim against me and my Cerb insurance is under £1k. Dunno what 8 will be like.

I probably depends on the conviction code, but i have 9 points plus a 7 day ban on my license(all speeding offenses), and a total insurance loss last year.
Insurance is still below £600 with A. Manning on my Griff.

Hi,

Im 21 looking at stepping into the ownership of a tvr for the first time, i have been an enthusiast for many years always loved them. I was just wondering what sort of insurance i should be paying on something like an S1 2.8 or a 350 wedge i would only be looking to drive it at weekends its not my first car. I am driving a toyota celica 1.8vvti and paying £900 fully comp with 2 years NCB no convictions or points or anything like that. I will be joining the TVR owners club within the next month or so.
