well done gang on another excellent issue, the ''down in the pits'' bit is a smart move and lots of input could be gleaned from here, or is that treading on herr Ted's toes? Beaten flasher to the congrats so he must still be reading it on the bog....can't fault the photo winner either although 'er indoors felt a bit left out Edited by apache on Wednesday 12th September 23:17

What's down in the pits? I'm still waiting for my issue.

One pit pony, one canary in a cage and one miner with a lamp on his hat (his name's Maurice). Is that humour or do I get a slap? Alternative ans; "A new occasional series on technical issues" - this month, Oil pressure and consumption. Looks good, introduced by popular demand. It proves they pay attention to the points posted on PistonHeads. Second issue in the new format, looks good, I hope they keep it up. Edited by JSG on Wednesday 12th September 23:48

Of course we do! And from members, ROs, letters, e-mails etc. But as has been said many times, Sprint needs you! Interesting articles and good quality photos are always in demand. Come on now - that Pulitzer Prize may be just around the corner.

Letter from The Editor of Sprint:
quote:
Dear All, My apologies for the magazine being late yet again. I hope you all have it by now and that you like it. We had a few production problems this month, which I suppose are to be expected in a new venture like this, and our problems were compounded by the couriers losing our consignment for some time. I am aware that the late receipt of the mag causes many problems for you, both in letting your members know what is happening at the beginning of the month, and in providing your Regional Reports for inclusion in the following month's mag. It is my aim to gradually bring the delivery date back, such that you receive it before the end of each month. Although the deadline was today for the next issue, I can extend the deadline to the weekend if you want to submit anything. Whilst writing, can I please ask you to bend the arms of any of your members who have anything rare or unusual lurking in their garages, to get in touch with me, as I would like to feature such cars over the coming months. I look forward to hearing from you! Tony Connor

Very impressed and it is beginning to get better aswell. a bit more reading material wouldn't go amiss and before you say it I will be submitting an article in the near future. My only critiscism is that hideous picture (complete with pylons in background) of a Vauxhall Nova coloured Griffith . Still anyone who buys a car in that colour deserves some sort of sympathy award!!!! Keep up the good work. Edited by flasher on Thursday 13th September 09:55

Got mine this morning. Like it. Might even tell Tony Connor why I love my Chimaera more than I`d ever love a Griff too... There is also an ad for new car covers for £75.50 inc Vat and Carriage - Sounds good 2 me
