Well having spent the best part for 3K on the chim my bank balance and head are telling me that maybe its time to move on, especially as if I'm going to sell now is the time of year.
However the flip side is now that she is back to perfection in looks and performance (hopefully) so I should get my monies worth...

Having spent £3k on it, I'd be keeping it. Like you said, pretty sure most of the probems have been ironed out now and it is probably going better than ever, you are not likely I assume to get your £3k back so what would be the point of getting shot of it now for someone elses benefit.

Thats the thing I want to enjoy whats left of the summer in it but then it will be hardrer to shift at the end and I wont get as much for it. Was actually thinking of using the cash to buy a house instead of a new motor, whats going on I'm growing up!

Why not drive it all winter as well then if you still want to sell in the spring. Its much more fun in the wet.

Also you can't drive around with the roof off and pose in a house, but you can sleep in a TVR

LOL I know but I didnt buy a house last year and got the chim instead, at this rate I'll never end up buying somewhere!
I would really miss driving her and be gutted everytime I saw one but I cant afford to do both

Well in the last couple of months its let me know by needing a new radiator, alternator and ignition coil!

I sold my late model in April - kept hold of it until the very last moment, and suffered financially for it. BUT, if I was still in the UK there is no way I could resist getting another. You WILL regret it everytime you see/hear one. On the other hand you'd probably regret not being on the property ladder even more

Chop her in, youve had the best out of her, she's tired, take it down to your local TVR showroom and part X her for a brand new Saggy - sod the expense, do it man - not seeing your car, but just say you get 10 grand for her (theres your deposit) , £600.00 per month for three years and a 20 grand balloon payment at the end. Buy the house in a few years time, go back to the parental home, 20 quid a week for everything - sorted.

Well thats the best suggestion by far! Trouble is shes back to her perky self, pic is in signature.

keep the car - you will regret selling it so much... I went through the same thing when I sold my grff 500 (and to my best mate) - and everytime i spotted another TVR - i felt crappy... ended up buying another not soon after cos it made me feel so sad...

the double whammy was that cos I sold it to my best mate - i got to see it every couple of weeks - which made it even worse! :-)

dont let go - get yourself a little more in debt, keep the car and still buy the house! :-)

Oh Boy....it's posts like these that make me realise I'm getting old...

If you REALLY want to get on the property ladder.....sell her and use the money towards a deposit.
Get your house and get on the first rung.
Property prices will go up...in 2 years you will have your home sorted and a nice bit of equity growing in the background.
When you feel finacially ready to fill the garage space with the sound of TVR....that equity may come in jolly handy....but you'll still have your house.

Course, that's with my sensible hat on.....
If I take it off...well...you're only young once....go enjoy the Chimaera mate...the sun is shining, the birds are singing and when Englands playing...the roads are empty !
