Tuscan on Top Gear Sunday 4th June

According to the TVR website there will be a bit on the Tuscan and Sir Jackie Stewart on this comming Sunday's Top Gear, also the car on their track.
Really, doesn't that make a refreshing change to fitting a "S" class with a wood burner and a concrete floor, not to mention fittting a
Triumph Herald with a sail!

Anyway, looking forward to seeing the TVR on telly. [please not the 'clarkson' jibes about getting in and out again] Be nice to pick up some tips too.

sounds bloody marvelous IMO
they picked a great track to take the tvr out in shame that james is going 2 be driving(captain slow)
jackie sure gave the car a hammering

I’m glad the tus conv handled well! shame they keep on saying the factory is closing so the general public keeps thinking TVR are no more… and I will get even more grief from my colleagues tomorrow.

That Prodrive thingy looked interesting! and sounded good!, perhaps it’s even the sort of car TVR should be making? And yer right, it won’t be made… watch this space, and perhaps it should be my next car as it might be made just up the road…

I don't get it at all. I'm assuming TVR lent them the car so why didn't they fill them in a bit on the position whilst they were there? Great PR.

they probably did but the bbc probably didnt tell JC RH or JM about this

They probably did, and the BBC may even have told JC and his crew but remember this is TV. What car companies say and what gets reported are two different things. Take BBC Watch Dog, one car manufacturer has stopped commenting or responding to them because they simply use selective editing to make the comment sound contentious. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance this was Top Gear not wanting the facts to ruin a good "punch-line" Rich...

I think TG were genuinely trying to help TVR out a bit here - although nothing more than they deserve with the new Tuscan being a bit special.

Made a refreshing change to get a good report although I can't help thinking they should have been bigging TVR up for the last 2 years instead of slagging them off.

All was going well until the Hamster finished the article off with the one simple, damaging sentence about the factory closing. Why couldn't they just say how good the Tuscan is and leave it at that?
