But what about the 'I own a TVR but not yet a club member' or the 'Ive sold my car, money is in the bank, want to pop along to a meet to check out different TVRs and get a club joining form/information and speak to owners/club member' brigades?
3 young lads did turn up to the Surrey meet venue last night in a Saxo VTR, but doubt they came looking for us?

We get far more people attending the Growl that heard about it on here than the clubs site. In fact, last year the only promoting the club did for the Growl was too late for many people to arrange to go, if that was their only means of knowing about it. This years is much better, though.
The Growl was originally organised on here, the TVRCC only getting involved for #2.
The Growl is also open to all people with an interest in the Griffith, and those people are not all TVRCC members.

Probably thought they saw another Yellow Saxo in the car park
TVR badge snobbery again. Ever thought they might like your machines but can't afford one.

Careful there was more than one yellow TVR in the carpark last night.
The Saxo did try and rev its way out but I think it got drowned out by a tiv a couple of miles away

True but this thread mentioned TVRCC events specifically. I'm not defending the decision, just reporting it. I believe there are public liability connotations if someone turns up to a TVRCC organised event and they are not a TVRCC member.

Ian, without shooting the messenger, surely if the TVRCC meet is held on public property I dont see how there can be legal implications? Last TVRCC meet I attended the members and non members (guests of members and invited 'others') alike mixed it up shoulder to shoulder with Joe Public :shrug:
Ive been a TVRCC member for donkeys years (our ex Chairman can vouch me being one of the original East Sussex founding members from when he was just 'Simon with a Chimeara) but stopped attending the meets for some 5 years becase I didnt like the way some things where going.
Ive only recently been back on the CC scene due to the changing and refreshing attitudes of, in particular Karen and Steve (Surrey) and Nick S (SELNWK or whatever it is
). Im sure there are others out there, just that I havenht experienced them in person. Certainly the East Sussex eGroup has plenty of good banter on it still

Surely, TVRCC events are a good way to promote the club. If they're only promoted within the club it's preaching to the converted.
