Two thoughts.... Firstly isn''t it about time TVR updated the real life Tuscan challenge and gave up with the old cars and started using new Tuscans? Secondly, has anyone else tried the Tuscan challenge on Gran Tourismo 3. It''s a 5 race sizzler of 10 laps per race...right sod! Fantastic game, even the reflex colours flip flop like real!

the real life tuscan challenge isnt for road cars its for a special series of cars. these racers look better than the new tuscan anyway, are far more powerful and provide excellent entertainment. If it aint broke dont fix it.

Not sure about fixing it, but they are tweaking it for next year. With even more power it's quite likely that they cars will be lapping as fast as GT cars next season! Mental! (and still the best looking TVR ever! )

The factory are also trying to make the series more accessable next year by trimming weekends down (this season there have been Fri-Mon events) to encourage ammatuers, as well as reducing testing (hence cost). In short, with the power increases etc., this should see a return to the previously massive grids, and fiercely competitve qualifying races. This brings us to the other reason why the current Tuscan racer is a more viable competition car than the Tuscan Speed 6 - the body pannels are quicker to replace! Bonnet & wings remove in one go etc... Roll on 2002 season. Marcus & Ocean Haze Griff 500

How comes some of the tuscan challenge cars have a front lip spoiler (ruining the look imho) and others dont. PS It doesnt look anything like the 'S' its much better looking.

You could always buy a Tuscan Challenge Racecar thats been converted into a roadcar and enjoy it on trackdays and use it for the sat morning run to Sainsburys! Save a fortune compared to a season racing. I also just happen to know of one for sale...

Grant Do you have any problems insuring one of those?

Phill I've been lucky re insuring my Tuscan roadracer in that A Mannings (TVR Car Club approved insurers)have their name on my car and in return I get a very favourable rate. I know they have about 3 other Tuscans on their books so even without 'sponsorship' insurance isn't a problem. Although I think you might struggle with a DirectLine type insurer, ex Tuscan Challenge racecar probably isn't on their computer!
