SAGARIS - DIFFERENT GRAVY

My Tuscan is in the garage having a service, the nice people at Gatwick TVR have lent me a Sagaris for the weekend - what a car, my Tuscan is well turned out but the Sagaris is different Gravy, I had a Porsche 911 a few years ago, and this Sagaris makes it look and drive like an old smoker. I think it was a trick lending me this car, I now must have it!
Agree the Sag is worth trading a Tuscan in for - I did and no regrets. More, smoother power and more predictable handling than my Tuscan, even when I had Nitrons fitted.
Only problem with the Sag IMO is that it's a bit too expensive, maybe TVR need to go back to their roots producing proper performance cars for the price of a Boxster e.g.
My 1st TVR - a Chimaera was £35K in 1998 - and I don't know about other owners but my income certainly hasn't gone up 50% in the last 8 years which is the price difference between the Chimaera and the Sag.

Yeah my fist TVR (an exdemo Chim 450) was £32K ish in Jan 98 from Redhill TVR. I was contracting as a Project Mgr then so I guess my real world income (ie cash in hand) is probably the same now as it was then some 8 yrs later , how depressing! Generally cars have got cheaper in that period. 98 was the height of TVR success (or thereabouts) , in the days when they made em and then shoved a bit on top to get a small profit.

TVR currently makes one. It's called the Tamora.
, and every back to back test I have seen on the TV programs, the Tamora has beat the Boxster, on both looks and perfomance.
Well its 9.45 (pm)and ive just finished cleaning the Saggy, I have caressed her whole body with suds and better still wax, I think I went slightly over the top however, one day she will be mine and the two of us will rule the world - Im getting far too carried away!

Yep and with the cr box in the 2S. Comparisons? Well the cr box is faster in 3rd and 4th, but it then doesnt have the phenominal range of 3rd that the standard box gives. Handling wise? Personally I found while the 2S was pretty sharp, I was always conscious that it has that longish snout in front of it, whilst the Sagaris never feels like that and always feels small and nimble.
As to the OP, like I always tell ppl, never test drive a Sagaris unless you are prepared to buy one, because the bloody things get under your skin and itch like fc*k!

A fully specced Boxster is well over 50k. You gotta watch them Germans like a hawk.
Sagari should have government health warnings on them they are that addictive.

Gatwick TVR were trying to do that to be for months before I gave in! The Sagaris is great (but Mr Clarkson was wrong) it can bite your head off!
I guess you have to be a more than average driver to 'get' the Sagaris . . . from the reviews I've read.

I had a great time in it, the power is fantastic, I had my dad in the car all wk end, he is use to driving very powerful V8 cars however, I hoticed he grabbed the dash a few times - I think I scared him - But I must say I didnt drive much over 70, what scared my poor old dad was the raw grunt of the car - but what I must say is that my Tuscan has done 12K and prior service was performing better than the Saggy, but I think when the Saggy has loosened up it will woop the Tuscan.

Clarkson was wrong - its awsome, I went for lunch at the wkend and the whole pub was looking out the window when I got in the car to go - people love them - imagine I was poilshing the car last night at 10pm for fun,.
