That's it!
I've just got to have one.

I was bored and decided to do a lil' tyre kicking. Took a 450 chim out for a test drive and now I'm an addict. Help!!!! How can I get these feelings outta my system?? I've gone all gooey.. IWANT ONE AND I WANT ONE NOW!!!!!

Is there anyone out there that tell me the cure for these feelings I'm having.
Do I have to go cap in hand to the bank manager? Do I have to go cap in hand to the misses?

I feel like Oliver Twist....."Please sir , can I have some more"

Help me!!!

Best cure is to try a BIG BAD WEDGE. Guaranteed to change your mind. Read this and see what it did to MikeB...........

Bob, take a look at the picture below..

That is a TVR. Not any old TVR, but one which had just covered over 1000 miles of European roads, roof down. Its dirty and its tired.

You too can enjoy the benefits of laugh-as-you-drive motoring with a TVR, Griff, Chim, S, Wedge.... Your choice.

Just do it.

Sadly, there is no known cure. It's an insidious parasite that once it's in your system, continues to gnaw and nag. Temporaray relief is obtained only by regular periods of driving the beast that caused the problem in the first place but once the driving stops, that gnawing, nagging longing just returns.

Sorry mate, you're hooked. Your life will never be the same again.

There are two sorts of people in this world, thise that have driven a TVR and those that haven't

I'm still feeling woosey...The Suns shining and though my fireblade is in the garage I don't want to use it.

My body has been taken over by the spawn of satan's own.

I feel sick to the stomache with desire....like meeting the woman of your dreams and finding out that she's a damn good fk too.

Oh what am I to do.????

Erm...... buy one?

Had a Chimaera after dreaming of TVRs for years, then child came along so I needed a four-seater - hello Cerbera! Then wifey decreed it had to go, so I indulged in another "must drive before you die" car and got a BMW M5. Six months later it went in the bin, and now I've come full circle and have another Chimaera.

Trust me, it's an insidious itch that needs scratching..... just be warned, you've scratched it now, so it'll only get worse!

Go on Bob - you know you want to

I see youre based in the south - where abouts are you as we will have about 30 TVR's together on Sunday near Sevenoaks if you fancy coming along.

Then you really will be in trouble!

Not only is there no cure, the affliction increases with time. Once you've got one you just want to drive the damn thing more and more and more...

Bob, in answer to your question about asking your lady's permission to buy, I had the same dilemma but knew the answer would be based on rationale and logic, so I made the right decision, bought the car and then told her afterwards. Some time ago I posted a thread asking if other people had done the same and discovered it is a tried and tested method.

Just do it, as a friend explained to me last weekend, each of us are made up from a collection of experiences and if owning a TVR is part of the person you aspire to being - do it. Sounds very Zen, but he has a real point.

I concur:

1) I was originally planning to buy a Fezza 355.
2) I happened to drive past a TVR dealership.
3) I looked at a few.
4) I test drove one - preferred it to the Fezza.
5) I bought it.
6) I went home.
7) Got a bollocking from the wife.
8) Put an extension on house to pacify wifey.
9) Bought wifey new car.
11)Live in relative peace and have fun at weekends.

No worries, drop me a line through my profile if you are local.

Buying my Griff some years ago was my lifes dream - it was to be my toy & my wife wasnt really interested - our first run out with a group of Tivs changed all that, & now she loves it as much as I do

Actually, the salesman at Mole Valley who took her for her first ever run out in a Tiv probably did the job for me - when they came back to the showroom she told me I HAD to buy one. Who was I to argue?

Give it a go - you'll love it, & hopefully so will your lady.
