My God, Sagari are quick!!!

I was at Goodwood today to watch a friend in his M3 on a track day. There were lots of 911's including a couple of GT3s, one race-prepared. Also, there was an Aston Vanquish, and a lovely DB9.
Anyhow - there was also a grey Sagaris, and, with the exception of the race-prepped GT3, and a supercharged Arial Atom, the Sagaris saw off the lot of them! Absolutely minced the "regular" 911s, and also the Astons.
Fair play to the driver - he was some chap wearing a tweed jacket! Quite the antithesis of the nomex-clad Porker Pilots.
Just shows what a weapon an on-song Sagaris is in the hands of a competant driver.

Dunno how valid these comparisons are without knowing how good the drivers really are and how hard they are pushing. A lot of apples to oranges in a typical trackday or when dicing on the motorway. Don't get me wrong, no doubt the Sagaris is very impressive.

Ahh the Atom.......me and my mates have being pissing ourselves watching that distort Clarkson's face. It's quite a car.
M400 - 0-60 3.5 seconds..... I must admit though I love the styling of the Sagaris (shame they filled the bonnet vents). A friend has got one and the build quality is better than the Noble but point to point the Sagaris won't keep up with the Noble (assuming same capability driver).

Nice pics. Thanks very much! I am not too big on all the lines on the bonnet, but it's a small thing and overall I absolutely love the Sagaris.
If this fellow could see off the Porkers, its lateral grip must be stunning, as it doesn't have any driver aids to help keep it hovering near its limits--it's all up to the driver's skill level. Is it the guy who posts as Yellow Peril here?

I'm not sure where you heard that, but it is largely wrong. The Noble is a quicker track car, as many aren't left standard and are further modified for track work. No matter how much we all love the Sagaris, there is no denying that an M400 would probably beat it round a track, even an M12 GTO-3R would keep up with a Sagaris, given a competnt driver. Especially a fast track such as Goodwood.

Really? Would that Jap muppet Ide or whatever he is called from Super Aguri would keep up with Kimi if they both swapped cars? Personally I think Kimi would make mincemeat of that chicane even in an Aguri and him in the Macca.
In other words it will depend entirely on the driver not the car, not to mention which line they want to take round Goodwood. The last time I looked, a fast time round Goodwood was 1/3 car,1/3 driver talent and 1/3 whether you had balls the same size as Whizzo and Big Jerry. Throw in an interesting one ... brakes? A cpl of laps of Goodwood and would be interesting to see who had any brakes left! I wouldnt like to test that theory at the end of Lavant personally, but Im sure a cpl of the "my car is faster than yours" schoolboys would be willing!
