Rest assured contingency Plans are in place, and Back Home will go ahead. It is organised by the TVRCC, the local Council and help from the factory ( i.e. the factory tours).


Things may change on the actual program but the event will go ahead.

I believe that there are 475 people booked in for the factory tour - I should hope that in the light of recent news, they are treated like Gods.

I agree, Back Home was promoted on the basis it was the last time to see the Bristol Avenue factory in SPRINT. Having visited it twice in the last 4 weeks , I'd be leaving a run down building that used to be a Laundry, never mind paying Peter Wheeler for the pleasure of using it...The factory spreads over about 5 or 6 other buildings behind and is absolutely crap. Three weeks ago Dave Oxley told me they were considering a site on the Bispham Industrial estate (close to Bristol Avenue) but was even more excited by another site (in Blackpool) that he thought was absolutely right for TVR. I think the biggest mistake was ever allowing the unions in to TVR....I beleive Wheeler always kept them out.

Rest assured, the up to date position is that 'Back Home' will still go ahead.

It was always the case that Bristol Avenue would be closing and being relocated, current understanding is that the new factory is intended to be in the region.

I think lots will be heading up to Blackpool for Back Home - it will be our 4th BH and I am sure it will be the best - any excuse to meet up with the gang for a laugh. No matter what the outcome of TVR - it is still a fab looking car!!

Just hope it TVR doesn't go the same way Rover Did.

What you mean is that you don't belong to the TVR Car Club but want to attend one of their events because it sounds appealing. Perhaps time to join the club? It's less than the price of a tank of petrol.
