Hi All,
A few pics from the Dunlop TVR Challenge at Silverstone yesterday. I know how you people like your TVRs, and that Sagaris looks mint. It was a good old battle between the Sagaris and Darren Dowling's smoky Tuscan too, until whatever it was that was smoking let go... (Click name for full size pics)

As far as I know it is an AJP8.. as used in the Tuscans?
Sounds like my dream car -- AJP8-engined Sagaris. Maybe we could persuade TVR to do a production version...

It was Andy Holden's car that had the popped head gasket IIRC.
As far as I'm aware Darren's car was OK, he certainly gave Tim enough of a hard time during the race.

It's a racing AJP8 giving out about 450Bhp. The 'Sagaris' is actually a Tuscan Challenge with a Sag body grafted on to it.

Yes, you are quite correct....Andy did have a blown head gasket....
However..... I was there at the end of the race when Darren told me he had a likely head gasket problem ...they were blowing water out of the spark plug holes....Went on the last lap of the race...
He is keen to get it done before Coombe.......

I got a feeling it might be when I first saw it. Something just didn't seem right about it, but then I couldn't put my finger on it - is there a tell-tale sign that i'd subconsciously spotted? Seem to recall the windscreen not looking right from a certain angle, but figured that it might just be the way they're designed!
hi everyone the sagaris v8 from the window back is sag, but the bulk head floorpan and clamshell/ bonnet.are all new the windsreen is the same, this body was designed to use all tuscan challenge rolling chassie parts as you can not just drop the sagaris body straight on the car.the car is in its very early days of development and a lot more is to come NO PRESSURE THEN / will hope to see more tvr fans at castle, hi yellow perril nice to have met you ft

YP is right - my head gasket went in qualifying and Darren had a problem late in the race - possibly a cracked inlet port.
