If we are all honest we would say that when Nikolai Smolenski acquired the TVR company the employees car owners and enthusiast were very pleased and probably compared him with Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich, many people may have thought that NS would plough hundreds of millions of pounds into the brand with not a lot in return, the truth is NS is a rich young man but not in the same league as abramich and in reality he wanted a return on his investment quickly.
What TVR need is an owner that is an enthusiast of the cars and is prepared to keep the company running not at a permanent loss but to plough enough money into the company to get the quality correct, new models developed and tested before release to the general public, ie gat the foundations of the company correct
I suspect that NS has bitten off more than he can chew, but you have to give the man some credit for giving it a try.
Now we all wait to see the future of TVR, it may be bright, it may go through more turmoil, but once thing is for sure, the name TVR will survive, but in what shape and size only time will tell.

So to all who have contributed to this and the previous thread...A question. Are you or are you not in support of the marque and are you or are you not going to show that support and be at the Back Home weekend ????........... We are the public face of TVR. If we cant show our support and our commitment to them now its a b

Steve.Commitment to them - that's a laugh - what about their commitment to us as owners? - I bought a car brand new last year - cash - and they wouldn't take it back to fix it, they just tried to palm it off on the dealer - it kept on having problems - and still they didn't want to know - so I sold and took my cash elswhere!
Sorry you have had problems PP, but when the "Factory" has dealers supplying and servicing and carrying out repairs including warranty repairs, why do you expect them to take it back and fix it ?? I obviously do not know the nature of the problems but 99.99% can be dealer sorted. You try getting a main stream car dealership to get the factory involved in repairs to the extent of taking the car back.. It really isnt that black and white. Steve.
I've only just seen the last (CLOSED) thread about this, as I've been a bit busy the last few days.

THREE months back at the dealers over last summer - NO you have no idea what my problems were with the car - hence my handle on here!
Ted is usually very open-minded about things on these forums, but the other thread would not have been locked and the first post modified if things were as simple as most may assume.
Chaps, give things a rest for a while, last thing we want is PH to get caught up in something which has nothing to do with it.... libelous posts are extremely dangerous for both the source (thats a given) and the loudspeaker van driver!

Come on guys - let the poor bloke have a weekend off.
We've all seen the thread, & seen its forebears on here a dozen times before. Ted has taken the time to let us all know what a difficult position he is put in sometimes, & the thread had run its course.
We're just going over the same old thing here - the roads are dry - lets go for a blatt
