dirty leather!!!!

Just discovered the secret of cleaning my magnolia leather,, after trying all of the so called specialist cleaners and not one working i thought i`d try the wifes magic eraser block from Lakeland Limited. all it is, is a block of white foam costing £2.95 you cut a piece off dampen slightly with water and rub gently. Sounds good...........but be sure to feed the leather afterwards with a not so cheap leather restorer, you could be doing long term damage, would like to know what's in this product before I'd let it near my leather.

Mrs madmark uses something like this to clean the walls in the house.
I never thought of trying it on the leather. I may give it ago, thanks Pete.

Bumped in to a chap yesterday who`s dad was a Rolls Royce trimmer. Aparently the trick of the trade is to use ordinary shampoo on a sponge to clean leather, then feed as normal. Haven`t tried it yet, but info. was imparted with conviction so I don`t doubt it`s effectiveness. He also said a quick, light wipe (stressing the quick!)with nail polish remover will take the top layer of skin oil off the vinyl that`s usually on the tunnel and doors, then clean with shampoo.
He didn`t specify a brand, so I guess whether yours has hydroxy-ceramides and fruit A-Has or not isn`t important!
