Okey dokey, with the shock news of the Santa Pod RV (Im now having second thoughts 
) how about a meet at Pease Pottage services for say 6.15am, to be away by 6.30am LATEST? (may have to adjust timings when the dust settles)
I was planning on running round the Surrey section of the M25 so we could meet up with any Surreyites etc on the way through, and then again at South Mimms for the final push?
Or am I the only soft southerner going?

I'm going Nick so not the only softie up there,but have booked a hotel near by so it wouldn't be such an early start.Didn't fancy a long drive up there then racing for the day then driving all the way home.

Actually, I'd considered going up Friday evening, but by the time I finish work, and fight the Friday night traffic, an early start Saturday for some reason seems a better bet to me.

Anyone know how long it will take from, say Gatwick to South Mimms? Gives me an idea of when to leave

As it happens, I have one I used to use for moto-x, but I dont know/doubt if it will be acceptable? It has a kite marking, but no idea if it is ok for cars (and its got a mad paint-job, which was ok for muddy fields, but Ive a feeling it may be a little OTT for the 'Pod'

The cerb's just come back from Austec and theyve reported a leaking rear damper, so looks like I have to get new ones all round. How much do kidneys go for on fleabay?

I hope you're still going to the Pod? I always look on these issues as an upgrade opportunity, can be expensive but at least you're improving your motor. So what's it going to be? Are you going for the new intrax dampers Paul is doing then? These look the business and are probably the only dampers that would sway me away from Nitrons.

I hear what you're saying and if I was a track day demon I would go for Paul's ones, but as Im not, I cant justify the outlay. Probably end up with Gaz or some such, depending on how persuasive Paul is at the Pod

Nick, that sounds more like a dance step! Somehow I can't really see you on Strictly Come Dancing!
I'll have the new video camera with me on Saturday so we can try and get some in car footage (bullet cam)as well as trackside.

I'm going to bring my crash helmet but I don't think I'd be much good (Steve would have a heart attack anyway!)
. That's it mind, one hat and a balloon. Nick Im going up, so we can blast up together, there is a convoy from Hants way too AFAIK as Harryw and the guys are coming up too?? Will try to find out what their plans are?
In any event getting up to South Mimms to meet the others might be a good idea lots of Tivs going through the Hatfield tunnel is always fun....
