Accident at Castle TVR?

Just heard from a friend of mine that he witnessed quite a serious accident at the TVR dealer in Stansted(i presume he meant Castle TVR?) Apparantly a car came down the hill, the driver had a heart attack, it veered across to the right hand side of the road and took out about 50 feet of wall and fencing. The car was left hanging over the wall with its front wheels and the remains of the wall and fencing on about 10 TVRs below.

thank god he didn't land on any of the tivs! is the driver ok?Ours is one of the cars caught up in this terrible accident and I have to say well done to Michael and Ian at Castle's.
Michael rang this morning to let us know the situation and they have been brilliant during what can only have been a very hard night and day for them. A total of 23 cars have been damaged to some extent, 9 seriously.
It could have been so much worse than this, but most importantly to the best of my knowledge no-one has been killed. My understanding is that the driver of the car had to be cut free by the emergency services, but has survived the accident.
We only picked the car up on the 4th March and it is our pride and joy, but at the end the day it is only a car.

Mine is the black Elise which is next to the white Rover. Got the call from Michael today, absolutely gutted. Needs a respray, gonna be gone for three weeks. Could be a good thing i suppose, a free part-respray....
Michael says as far as he's aware the guy survived, so at least that's good news, hope he recovers okay. I bet his insurance company are gonna love him! I'm hoping to pop over on Monday to have a look at the damage. They do seem a top crew at Castle....

My car is one of the 23, I also have had my car since the 4th March.
I was contacted yesterday morning as I was about to go pick my car up. As Simon says it could have been so much worse and the main thing is that the driver is still alive and no one else was injured (having visited Castle yesterday and seen the damage first hand I can only begin to imagine what could have happened had it been earlier in the afternoon). The driver was in his 60's and I also believe he had to be cut out of his car (which was a golf)
Ian, Rob and Michael and Co at Castle have been great and a number of the staff had worked through the night to secure the site. My car's damage is minor compared to some of the cars and its now been moved to the bodyshop. It looks as though (possibly a railing?) has completely split the perspex spoiler down the middle and its chipped back to fibreglass (about a couple of inches wide) just above the rear number plate and a scrape just above the exhaust.

The last sentence, is exactly the point!!! Its only a car, cars can be repaired. Lets hope the driver has a speedy recovery.
