There's a T2 Converitble review by Steve Sutcliffe in today's AutoCAR. Rather good review!

at the price (bosscerbera post on another thread)!It's an encouraging review and 'sutters' is probably the most respected driver at Autocar. I'm pretty sure he's the fastest racer among the staffers and think he did a season or two of tuscan racing at one stage.
I think the price thing was misrepresented though, it came out at 53k for a fully specced Tuscan convertible but for that you get the mighty '4.0S' engine. It had air con, CR box etc. so I think that the price is absolutely as it should be. He described it as a 'sports pack' but it's really just the same price as a tuscan S. I also thought it was a bit silly was his comment about the Sagaris being much faster. Even as a proud Sagaris owner, I just can't see how this could be the case as they are the same weight and power.
A tuscan vert with the S engine would be a heady cocktail indeed and for those waiting for a Sagaris 'vert' I'd say don't bother, the S engine in the tuscan vert is near as dammit the same thing.
Good to see more good reviews though. Hopefully the old-school TVR diehards will start giving the new cars a break. My experience of a year with a Sagaris has far, far exceeded my expectations.

A good article and a fair representation of the car. TVR under NS have got their act together, this sort of thing can only help to sell more cars.
The new cars are far better than the older models for manageable performance and handling. People should try these cars before drawing any preconceived opinions. The handling on my Sagaris is excellent and as Clarkson said much less scary than my old Tuscan. Great Stuff

I was surprised that TVR only sold 500 or so cars last year though! 
They're really going to have to push hard now with the competition around at TVR prices I think. Sutters did say that the 'whiff of glasssfibre and glue was not the traditional hallmark of a car costing £53k' ..... and I think he has a point in this.
Hope they can build their sales now from upbeat reviews like this one.

The new T2 is great but lets not forget the Mk1. The MK1 seems to get alot of stick, but the reality is that, it too is a great car.
I tend to think some people get all hung up on some little things and blow them in to huge negatives. Overall the cars are great and got better for each year they were built.
Give me a Mk1 or a Mk2 there both excellent cars. I hope we are not going to end up talking the Mk1 down creating both a negative market (which will end up effecting all) and a Tuscan divide (between those who have the good ones and those who have the percived bad ones)
