Hi all, quick straw poll if I may. I am probably going to swap my chim dash for a s/s replacement purely for cosmetic reasons. The main drawback seems to be complaints of the sun reflecting in the drivers eyes. So my question is, how bad do people find this? has anyone got so annoyed they have swapped back to the wood?

I have had a Brushed Steel dash since i bought the car back in 2001 and love it. Occasionally you do get some major reflections bounce back at you when the sun is behind you, but if the sun is out, you would tend to have your shades on so don't worry. You can still see the dials if you need to look.
Ultimately, its personal choise. I chose it instead of wood because I wanted a younger look inside the car and it worked very well. I would not change it at all.

I've got the Leven one (with small squares in relief) and have never had a problem at all with any glare or reflections. I'm pretty sure that my dash is vertical (or even leans towards the driver) so by the time the sun is low enough to cause problems it can't get past the boot/roof/seats.
The leven ones are the mutts nuts IMO. I had one of the first ones and never had any reflection problems as they're not shiny stainless or even the reflective brushed types, I chrome plated the clock bezels as well and if anything would reflect they would and no probs. Go with the Leven ones you won't be disapointed I promise.
