Went to TORQUE TVR today..............
Discussion
As someone who is new to TVR it was like an aladdins cave of power. 1 t350, 2 cerbs, a tuscan, a chim and 2 or 3 griffs and my Tam of course.
Is you car there at present? If so which one?
Incidently the Tam had an oil leak and is in for an interim service (worry). Ian said all sounded well and that my 16" alloys were daft.

I wouldn't worry, he told me my standard 16's on the Cerb were "Gay"
The fact was i endured....16's Dog Sh*t....17's Hard..
for about four hours, then I yealded. I must admit though once we fitted 17" Speedlines which were (quote Middlewich speak)... "Hard as F**k wheels"... I think he had a point.
Top Fella is our Ian, however eloquence may not be his strongest suit...but sorting out TVRs certainly is.
IMHO 16" Spiders, compared to 18's do tend to look bit like Tractor Wheels.

Mine is the freewheeling blue chim in the compound - has special independently steerable front wheels and invisible exhaust manifolds.
Ian sez its the sexiest car he's ever seen and promises to wipe the seat and bonnet off before he hands it back.
I told him not to bother
Said I'd give him a hand.
Oh bugger
That came out wrong...
Well to be fair he didnt exactly say the 16s were daft. What he said was he couldnt understand why they didnt fit 18s in the first place. Fair point Id say, the 18s look far better.
Tell you what tho before today id never seen a stationary TVR except mine. Impressive bunch of cars but the older ones do seem.... erm old and a bit dated. Is it fair to say a lot of griffs and chims get traded in for Tams, Sags and T350's. I know a lot of you guys swear by them.

One of mine is there too (blue Griff 500). Dated, I think not. Updated, maybe. Repaired, re-sprayed, re-carpeted, re-trimmed and all because she's worth it. The Middlewich pleasure dome is the only place for me. A call late today informed that she may even be ready to collect late tomorrow. That means Ians run-out of brew kit again and he wants me to top it up and if he says late, you can bet he means close to midnight or breakfast time if he works over. Where else can you go for that level of service and commitment?

Hello Chuckles
...and how long did you try to convince Dom to connect it up and turn Daisy into a W16? ...or did you bring the "Coconut Tree" back in the boot?

Coconut tree
the engine is going to Power soon, may even go for the supercharger option. Finding insurance for it should be fun..! Claire

that'll be mine then..... Sorry Claire, hope it's nothing serious with your's, sure Ian will have it sorted soon
Good news is that means mine might be ready for Saturday
Seems like it's been away for ages, can't wait, even looking forward to the 4 hr drive home

I've just got my Tamora back from Ian and it's top notch.
Considering it had been serviced at a main dealer fairly recently, Ian unearthed a few little odds and sods that were surprising - however, all was sorted quickly and for very very sensible money.
With HL Gorner's recent demise, I won't be going anywhere else for servicing. Highly recommended.
