Display Plates

I've noticed some of you have plates that you put on just for meets/trackdays, usually which have your Pistonheads name on them. How do you attach them - do you unscrew your road plates and screw the display ones on or do you attach them over the top by some other means, of so, how - especially for track days!

I made a couple of plates for PH members for CREAM, they were self adhesive so were stuck over the top of the normal plate, or could have been stuck on the reverse and the plate reattached back to front, if you see what I mean.

Just a daft question: Why do you think they are put on just for these events?

I'm talking about the ones which aren't even vaguely like a legal registration - if I remember correctly Mad Mark had one which said "Mad Mark".

I hope no one is suggesting that any of us have illegal plates on when we are on the public road?

The ones on the front of my car are held on with velcro so they can changed with ease..... the rear aint so easy due to being backlit, no backlite should could be velcroed
