I remember a quote by Peter Wheeler on the TOP GEAR special of TVR, he said,"I'm not having anything German in my cars". So I would say no.

I think PW was making a reference to German females, not well-engineered motor parts.

I've just had a vision of Pete Wheeler grappling a well engineered German woman in the front of one of his motors.........Or maybe she was helping him release his handbrake......the mind boggles.

It's a Buick (originally). Just because they own the rights doesn't make it a BMW engine. They have their own (quite good I am lead to believe) V8. Sparks
