Has anyone tried EBC Greenstuff pads? If so what did you think of them? I need new pads on the front of my Griff 500, and thought I might give these a try. Thought I''d ask the assembled wisdom here before I choose!

I haven't used them but will be without a doubt. The assembled mass of emails I had when I had discussed pads on another forum gave indication of these as the clear leader in terms of less fade and greater response. Only downside would apppear to slightly more brake dust and increased disk wear. Others have also told me that at low temp's they do not work aswell as standard pads, needing to gain a little temp to achieve best results. All the guys who I talk to at my local meeting who have them don't notice any descernable difference in response during 'normal' driving and praise them highly when 'pushing on'... Cheers

I have recently fitted them to the rear of my Chimp 500. OK so its the front that does most of the braking, but I haven't noticed any difference in normal driving yet. Haven't been on the track since I fitted then yet though. I understood that one of the benefits of these pads was LESS dust, not more dust as was previously mentioned. Last time I was on the track I did get a lot of fade towards the end of the day and this turned out to be the groves in my front disks getting clogged up with dust from the standard pads that had been fitted. I do intend to fit greenstuff to the fronts when they next need replacing.

Like the rest of you, I've heard enough praise for GreenStuff to fit them next time. I've already got the pads in my garage (tend to mash f**k brakes on regular basis). I too was under the impression that they create less dust, and can withstand higher temperatures. FYI , Team Proactive advised that standard rear pads are still OK with these. I've got them on the front of my Chim 4.0L. The pedal feel is a little wooden while pootling around town, but as soon as you brake once or twice they feel great. They create virtually no dust, but I have noticed my new grooved EBC discs have started to wear already (5k miles or so). I recently upgraded to DOT 5.1 brake fluid to hopefully cure a bit of brake fade (only experienced on the track mind). (I'm trying to avoid paying for upgrades so I can save for a TuscanS).
