Engine/ECU re-map and dyno advise

Hi all,

Got a Cerb and it does not feel like it really should. I will be sticking on a couple of de-cat pipes in the next week or so and wanted to know if anyone can recommend a garage to get it remapped and dyno'ed.
I live in NW of UK.

there's nowhere near you unfortunately .. I'm the closest in chesterfield, my rollers arrive tomorrow and i'll be up and running properly in about 2 weeks time .. the only other place to do remapping is austec in crawley (surrey?). Depends how far you want to travel and how quickly you need it doing.

One thing tho, even as std the car should be pretty quick, if it isn't then there's probably something else causing the majority of the loss of power .. so I wouldn't expect to get yuor car back in one day no matter where you took it to .. sounds like the car really needs a good basic going over to make sure everything is in order before embarking on any remap route anyway.

If you want a local guy to give your car engine a look over and see if there's any power-sapping physical limitations then I can recommend ian at torque rvt in middlewich. After that your only options are me or austec.

Hi Mat.

I wouldn't take my car anywhere else other than Joolz (Trackcar). It may sound biased as I live fairly close, but if you ask anyone on here, or do a search, you'll see who is the 'god' of cerb maintainance/upgrades/tuning etc. His knowledge is legendary.

I would not trust my car with anyone else.
Check back through my remap threads, I had much the same problem as you.

Grease just adds to the fun, RWD cars are built to slide in the wet but i am looking forward to a nice dry day. My cerb seems to be a lot more rear end happy than the Tusc though but i still want more power.

it's not an upgraded spring, it's hte std TVR spring .. known as a weak point for losing it's rate and breaking. replace at every service for peace of mind

Have a look at this thread I put together about my Cerb 4.5, all of the work was done through Joolz.
