Without breaking the name & shame rules, can anyone tell me if they've had experience of both Henley Heritage & Thames Valley Racetech and who they prefer? (I Use HH at the moment)

Please PM if you need to!

Are there any other Indies fairly close to Henley-on-Thames that are worth investigating?

Thanks

Reasonably close to you (i think - my Geography isn't up to much these days) is Topcats Racing out Aylesbury way - very highly recommended

I regularly use Thames Valley Race Tech and have had great experiences, they've looked after my Cerb very well. I would throughly recommend them a very down to earth service. They have just moved location to a new upgraded garage so should be great.

I used Thames Valley Racetech when I had my Chimaera. Good guys, no complaints at all. There is another indie in Wycombe - The V8 Centre. Very good service there too.

I've never had any work done at Henley - I believe its under new management since giving up the main dealership.

Steve Howard is another indie in Hurst, near Reading/Bracknell. Knows TVRs very well. Can't remember the name of his company - something like Thames Racing Services (similar name to the above).

Steve was Thames Valley Racing in Hurst but relocated just before Christmas to Sands Industrial Estate in High Wycombe, also in middle of changing his name to Euphoria Racing (at least that was what I think he was settling on the last time we spoke). He certainly comes highly recommended from me, used him for Chim and now Cerb. Plenty of others on here will have good words as well as I asked the same question 2 years ago and he got many recommendations.

I`ll second the above. very knowledgable and excellent service - very fair when potentially contestable situations arise too. They care. Heard good things about V8 centre and Topcats too.

Thames Valley Ractech it is then as they're only 3 miles from where I live

HH have been a little 'overcautious' on things that need replacing. Also their hourly labour rate is still at main dealer prices despite them giving up the franchise

Thanks for the tips

Interesting - pls let me know his contact details/address. Be nice not to have to get muddy to visit IYKWIM.

Yes I do LOL, quite liked the last place for its quirkiness, gates were a chore though. The new place is lovely in comparison however, loads of room and warm to boot.

His new number is 01494 761555, think the road he is on is called Progress Road but give him call to check.

I noticed an Indie advertized in sprint called 'Techniques'(i think) in Stotfold, Herts. They are close to me, so would be convenient.
Anyone know or have used them?

(apologies to original poster for butting in with this question)
