BDP, dyno calibrations

Many of you will know about my rolling road dyno purchase .. well I've also had to invest heavily in calibration eqipment to make sure that all the lovely TVRs are measured accurately.

It's well known that TVRs are measured at the factory in BDP or Blackpool Donkey Power, it's slightly lower than BHP and needs dynos calibrating accordingly.

So ..

Let me introduce you to Beethoven, the new Track Car Solutions donkey specifically for ensuring my dyno can give repeatable consistent TVR power readings.

hehe .. bethoven is my donkey, kindly adopted for me by two lovely friends .. he's at the "donkey village" donkey sanctuary .. i thought i'd find a use for him at the workshop a few days a week

he's called beethoven because like his names-sake he's deaf .. unfortunately Beeth was beaten around the head when he was a young Donk .. some people are so cruel.

anyway I think he rocks, so thought I'd post up a piccie of the wee fella before xmas to make some of you animal lovers smile

MMM so once you've got it calibrated to donkey power we'll have to see if we can get it calibrated to Dl1's

Same Dyno as ours as well.. but i can't find a Donkey Power conversion on ours

It's probably handy he's deaf if you've got a de-catted Cerb on the rollers... but I'd be wary of over-fuelling and excessive popping and banging... and god-forbid a backfire!
