What is the best way of checking my car to ensure that it has been treated with Waxoyl? Will the undercarriage look considerably differnt so it will be easy to spot?

You'll smell it!-And,as it dries it leaves a yellowy/brown stain on the tubes.
What other treatments are claimed to have been carried out ?

Thanks, runt. My Tamora is being treated with Waxoyl and I was curious to know if it's easy to notice so I can be reassured that the work has been carried out.

Basically if you run your fingers along the chassis you should get a waxy substance on them which smell, very ummm... chemically.

Possibily not! Some people hide the rust by coating the chassis in waxoyl and then using the presence of waxoyl to help sell the car.

To be 100% sure you need to remove the waxoyl (nice job, not!) and have a poke about. Any rust should be cleaned and painted with POR15 - then spray back the waxoyl.

I bought my Tamora new in 2005 (deliverd in July) so it's practically new with only 1600 miles when the Waxoyl was applied. I just wanted to reassure myself that it had been done properly and know what to look for. I had a look underneath before and after and it's been done.
