First MOT, anywhere or not?

After my first fun packed year of TVR ownership I now need a new MOT. Was wondering if theres a garage anyone can recommend near to South West london that would be good?

Only serviced a couple of months ago at Austec so hopefully not too many things to put right - I hope!

I am also up for my first MOT (and service). Just booked in to TVRFix with Claire and Toby for the start of Dec.

Also having some Nikel plated Gaz shocks put on.

Will keep ya'll posted on how it all goes (fingers crossed for a hassle free service)

Don't do what I did and give it to the local trusty garage.

Oh they always do a good job and I trust them but I left the guy in it for 15 mins while I popped out to get a paper, only to return to find him with the car on the ramp but stuck inside unable to find how to get out or the electric window switches

TVR Fix, yeah I used them before for my radiator - just called them up too!

If taking it to a no TVR place I suggest staying with the car to help them through the trauma

a couple of things over the last 2 years

On my TVR S2 (which is a very basic car ... non of the tricks of the newer ones) ... they could not find the bonnet release, and kept opening the boot instead.

On my Griff.......
they could not get out

were going to fail it for no rear number plate light ( backlight.. they could not see it in the light)

were going to fail it on noise, asked if exhaust was the original.... "yes as far I know" I said "ok then,as I've never heard a TVR before I'll have to pass it, as I have nothing to compare it too"

Ummmmm on the last bit technically the answer is correct, what they didn't ask was if the exhaust had been played around with.... silencers replaced with cherry bombs... kicking out 110dB
