Can somebody tell me what this means, the details off the engine which are better/worser,.
And what does it do with the engine?
There are details of my Tamora Red Rose here.
It's a 2005 spec with the following items part of the £3500 Red Rose option (for Tamoras, it may differ between the models):
Blueprinted 375 bhp 3.6 Speed Six
374 bhp @ 7800rpm
395 NM @ 5800 rpm
Uprated brakes
322 mm ventilated discs with 4-pot calipers
298 mm ventilated discs with single caliper
Large bore free-flow exhaust
I don't have the details of what may be different mechanically with the engine other than it comes with a blue rocker panel (the standard 3.6 is black, the 4.0 is red)
No octane switch as with Daggart's Cerbera.

1) Balanced and BluePrinted engine. Rods, pistons, crank all balanced
2) Ported head, 3 angled valve seating, with different valve springs, retainers etc.
3) Skimmed head for higher compression
4) Bigger injectors.
5) Free flow exhuast
6) Bigger brakes, 322mm fronts. There are the same as the Tuscan S.
7) Different profile cams
8) Remapped ECU
Here is the cost for a Red Rose conversion for the Speed 6 www.tvrpower.co.uk/sp6.RR.php
And here is the cost of the 4.0ltr conversion from a 3.6 to a 4.0
www.tvrpower.co.uk/sp6.3.6to4.upgrade.php
If you want a 4.0 conversion from 3.6 and a Red Rose car you need a new crank at £2k and different rods and a few other different bits, as the only thing that remains is the block and head. The extra cc is obtained from a re-stroked crank from 3.6 - 4.0ltr.
3.6 std 350 BHP
4.0 std 360 BHP
3.6 RR 375 BHP
4.0 RR 405 BHP +
You also get small gains for de catt, somewhere in the region of 8BHP more, but very tiny loss of torque at 3000 - 34000rpm where the curve stay flat then increases again from 3400rpm onwards.
Hope this helps

Is there a difference between Tusc 4.0 Red Rose and a Tusc 4.0 'S'? (not including bodywork). Am I correct in saying the R-R evolved into the 'S'?
Just for clariddy.....
Yes, the TUSCAN RED ROSE became the 's' Power varies from 380 - 400+ bhp, but if you have a redrose with a rebuild, odds are you'll be in the 400 anyhow.
There were issues at the very beginning with the from splitter on the 's' being forced off at high speeds.
Personally I had my Tuscan RedRose at 182mph. They do fly...
