Recommend a Tracker

Can anyone recommend a decent Tracker, have just purchased Cerb yesterday.

Check with your insurers.

There's a passive stylee..you tell them & they track, and a pro active system..they tell you when the vehicle is moved.

Sometimes they can be picky.

Yup...have to agree with Ted.

Tracker did ours and they are very professional and the 24 hour help desk guys are great!
Ours was a little sensitive to begin with and they called me one time we were in the Sagaris to check that all was okay as we were heading toward Harwich, which is a port!!

Thought that was pretty good.......

Pretty scary though to know that they know exactly where you are at any time......

I think Tracker Monitor is the system that tells you of a problem. Good if you leave the vehicle unattended for periods.

Tracker fitted a month ago today and I am still waiting for Tracker to activate it - despite dozens of calls to various people - the installers, sales, customer support, chief monkeys, cleaning staff the night watchman and anyone else there who will listen to me.

As has already been said above Tracker is the one to go for. I had their Monitor system on the Boxster and the M3. I also have tried the Trackstar system on a Subaru we had and it was nothing but trouble. On a number of occassions they couldn't even track the car (when it was parked on the driveway).

Not sure if the Cerb has a Meta system (assume it does) then you may want to look at the Metasat800 system Carl Baker (TVR alarm god) can fit. I believe it may offer better value and can be transferred to another car and with no annual fee.

I would agree with this. Carl showed the system to me, and it seems a really good! As has been said above it can be transferred to another vehicle which seems a much more cost effective idea than having to start all over again as & when you change cars!

and success!!! after phoning back just now to go ballistic at the Customer Services Manager (useless idiot) who hadn't called back as promised I must have hit upon by chance the only guy at Tracker to know what he's doing - 2 mins later, all done - so why couldn't the other 30 plus monkeys I talked to do this!

My advice, if you need your tracker enabling, either call the Monkey house at London Zoo or ask for Dean at Tracker, and deal with no-one else other than him!

I had Tracker fitted to a number of my service vans and I have to say...I will not use this company again! Lots of nice promise but back-up and support was crap. I refused to pay my bill for nearly 1 year as a result of the systems not working correctly! In my opinion - try another system.
